# Switching Plans & Managing Your Account

Your account should adapt to your needs — not the other way around. Whether you need more leads per month, want a larger allowance short-term, want to bring your team along, or are exporting your data: you handle most of it yourself in a few clicks, the rest runs through the chat in the bottom right. This article explains how plans, credits, and account settings fit together — and what concretely happens when you switch.

## How credits work

At Leadscraper, the unit of account is the **credit**. The rule is simple:

> **1 credit = 1 delivered lead.**

Each search delivers up to 10 rated leads and costs up to 10 credits accordingly. A credit is only deducted when a lead is actually delivered to you — not for candidates the system sorts out during reasoning.

Important to understand, because it directly affects your plan switch:

- **Monthly credits reset on the renewal date.** The monthly allowance is "use-it-or-lose-it" — unused monthly credits expire at the end of the billing period.
- **Separately purchased credit packages and trial credits stay permanently.** They don't expire and are not affected by a plan switch.
- **A new billing period starts with the new allowance.** With every renewal you receive the full monthly allowance of your plan.

That means: when you switch plans, you don't lose any already-purchased package credits — a switch only changes **how many new credits** you get each month going forward.

## The subscription plans at a glance

There are three monthly plans. They differ in the monthly credit allowance:

| Plan | Credits / month | Price / month |
|------|-----------------|---------------|
| **Basic** | 100 | €190 |
| **Starter** | 250 | €290 |
| **Growth** | 500 | €490 |

100 credits equal 10 searches per month, 250 credits 25 searches, 500 credits 50 searches.

If you need significantly more on a one-time basis — say, for a larger campaign — there are also **one-off packages** that top up your balance permanently, without a running subscription:

| Package | Credits | Price |
|-------|---------|-------|
| 1,000 credits | 1,000 | €790 |
| 5,000 credits | 5,000 | €3,490 |
| 10,000 credits | 10,000 | €5,490 |
| 50,000 credits | 50,000 | €18,990 |

One-off packages aren't tied to a monthly cycle: the credits are in your account immediately and stay until you use them.

## Upgrading your plan

![In the Billing tab you see your current plan and switch at the top right via "Switch plan."](https://public.deimann.io/img/help-ls/billing_cancel_step-01.png)

You can switch to a larger plan any time — directly in the app at [my.leadscraper.de](https://my.leadscraper.de) in the billing / plan section.

What happens on upgrade:

1. The higher plan becomes active **immediately**.
2. You get the **credit difference** between the old and new plan credited **right away** — you don't have to wait until the next billing date.
3. From the next cycle, you then receive the new plan's full allowance.

**Example:** you're on Basic (100 credits/month) and switch to Starter (250 credits/month). The difference of 150 credits is credited to your account immediately. From the next billing date you receive 250 credits per month.

## Downgrading your plan

You can switch to a smaller plan just as easily. What happens:

1. The downgrade takes effect **at the end of the current billing period** — not immediately. You keep the larger plan until then.
2. From the next cycle, you receive the smaller plan's allowance.
3. Already purchased package credits are not affected.

## Cancelling

You can cancel any time — without minimum term, without notice period. Cancellation also runs through the Stripe portal (Billing → Manage Cards → Cancel Subscription). More details in the article **Cancelling your subscription**.

## Frequently asked questions

**What happens to my existing credits when I switch plans?**
Separately purchased package credits stay with you regardless. Monthly credits from the current period are not affected by an upgrade; on a downgrade they remain until the end of the period.

**Can I switch plans multiple times?**
Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade any time — there's no limit.

**When does the new plan take effect after an upgrade?**
Immediately. The credit difference is credited right away, and the next billing cycle starts with the new plan's full allowance.
