Here you'll learn how billing works at Leadscraper: what a credit is, what the monthly packages and the one-off credit packages cost, how the two interact, and what happens when your credits run out. Clear, honest, no fine print.

The short version

• 1 credit = 1 delivered company. As soon as a matching company lands on your board, 1 credit is charged. A search run delivers up to 10 companies — so up to 10 credits.
• Two optional steps per company cost 1 additional credit each — and only when successful (refunded if nothing is found): Find contacts and Create acquisition plan. A fully worked company therefore costs up to 3 credits.
• Monthly packages give you a fixed credit allowance every month. One-off packages you buy on top when you need more.
• Monthly credits reset on the renewal date (unused ones expire). Purchased packages and trial credits, on the other hand, never expire.
• Payment runs through Stripe, cancellable monthly, no minimum term.

What is a credit?

A credit stands for one step of work on a company. Leadscraper organizes your leads in a three-stage pipeline, and you decide per company how far you go:

1. Company added (1 credit) — As soon as a matching company lands on your board ("Company added"), 1 credit is charged. Behind every company is real work: Leadscraper plans its own search strategy, searches the open web as well as German industry directories and association registers, loads the company pages, and evaluates each company individually.
2. Find contacts (+1 credit) — On request, Leadscraper identifies the decision-makers along with their contact details ("Find contacts").
3. Create acquisition plan (+1 credit) — On request, Leadscraper generates a ready-made outreach plan ("Create acquisition plan").

Steps 2 and 3 are optional and are only charged on success — if a step finds nothing (e.g. no contacts), the credit is automatically refunded. A fully worked company (find + contacts + plan) therefore costs up to 3 credits.

One search run = up to 10 companies

Each search run delivers you up to 10 matching companies — corresponding to up to 10 credits for the companies found.

Important to understand: Leadscraper doesn't deliver "as many as possible," but the companies that fit best. In the background, the system checks considerably more candidates, filters consistently, and only lets through the ones that pass evaluation. So you don't get a bloated list to work through — but a focused selection.

The monthly packages

With a monthly package you get a fixed credit allowance every month. The data quality is identical across all packages — the only difference is the volume.

How far your allowance goes depends on how deeply you work each company: 100 credits are enough for, say, 100 pure company hits — or around 33 fully worked companies including contacts and acquisition plan.

Payment & cancellation: billing is monthly via Stripe. You can cancel any time, there's no minimum term. If you cancel, you keep your access until the end of the already-paid billing period.

Which package fits you?

• Basic is the calm entry point if you regularly need new companies, but in small amounts.
• Starter is the right middle ground for most: enough volume to run several searches weekly and train the system well.
• Growth is for teams that continuously build pipeline and work on many different audiences in parallel.

A tip: Leadscraper gets more accurate with every piece of feedback. Reject non-matching results with "Not a fit" and move the good ones further through the pipeline — the system learns your taste. The one-off credit packages

If you need more credits than your monthly package provides — or want to top up flexibly without switching your subscription — you buy a one-off package. These credits come on top of your existing balance.

The larger the package, the cheaper the individual credit. The one-off packages are one-time purchases — no subscription, no recurring charge.

How monthly and one-off credits interact

Here's the most important difference — so let's be clear:

Monthly credits are "use it or lose it." Your monthly package resets your allowance on your renewal date — unused monthly credits are not carried over to the next month.

Purchased one-off packages and trial credits, on the other hand, never expire. They are tracked separately and stay with you until you use them.

Concretely, this means:

• If in the Starter package (250 / month) you used only 120 credits in a month, the remaining 130 expire on the renewal date — in the new month you start again with your 250.
• Purchased one-off credits (e.g. a 1,000 package) sit safely in your account and are not touched by the monthly cycle.

Credits are only charged on success — if a step fails, you get the credit back.

What happens when my credits are empty?

If your credits are used up, you can't start new steps — but your already-delivered companies and your entire history stay and remain exportable.

To keep going, you have two ways:

1. Wait for the next monthly cycle — then your package allowance is credited automatically.
2. Buy a one-off package or upgrade your monthly package. When upgrading to a higher package, you get the additional credits immediately, not only at the next month.

Frequently asked questions

Am I charged for empty or failed steps too?
No. Credits are only charged on success. If a step finds nothing (e.g. no contacts), the credit is automatically refunded.

Do contact enrichment or the acquisition plan cost extra credits?
Yes. The delivered company costs 1 credit; "Find contacts" and "Create acquisition plan" each cost 1 additional credit — both optional and only on success. A fully worked company therefore costs up to 3 credits.

Do my credits expire at the end of the month?
Your monthly credits do — they reset on the renewal date. Purchased packages and trial credits don't expire and stay until you use them.

Can I cancel any time?
Yes. The monthly packages run through Stripe, are cancellable monthly, and have no minimum term. After cancellation, your access remains until the end of the paid period.

What's cheaper — more subscription or a one-off package?
That depends on your needs. If you permanently need more, a larger monthly package is worth it. For irregular peaks, the one-off packages are handy — and the larger the package, the lower the price per credit (down to €0.38 for the 50,000 package).
